What do you do for you?

It is strange to see how the world has changed over the years. When my parents were children, the dad worked and the mom stayed home with the kids and ran the house. Now, everyone works and any free moment is spent with the kids or trying to catch up on the chores that you couldn’t get to during the week. With all of the hustle and bustle, people are losing time for themselves. So the question I pose today is:

What do you do for you?

For a very long time my answer was “I don’t have time for me.” I realized that I need to make time for myself. I needed to make sure that I have a healthy mind and body so that I can do better at my job and be a better parent and spouse. Now I answer the question with kickboxing. Martial Arts may not be the answer for everyone but it is very important that you don’t forget about taking care of yourself. Art classes, Ballroom dancing, kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu… whatever you choose, make sure you can answer that very important question.
